Did messiah and His disciples, speak Hebrew or Aramaic? Answering this question is beneficial, for proving the accuracy of Scriptures with in the New Testament Gospels.
When examining the same Bible verse, within different translations, there may be contradictory statements, requiring further research, to prove what is true or faults. Using an interlinear Bible resource, will assist in examining the original Hebrew or Greek words, that may be missed translated.
Here is an example, in the (NIV) claiming, 1st Century Jewish people spoke, Aramaic not Hebrew.
(NIV, Jn 5:2; Jn 19:13; Jn 19:17; Jn 19:20; Jn 20:16; Acts 21:40; Acts 22:2; Acts 26:14; Php 3:5; Rev 9:11; Rev 16:16; )
The same Bible verses, in the (NASB) emphasize, Messiah and his disciples, spoke Hebrew.
(NASB, Jn 5:2 NASB; Jn 19:13 NASB; Jn 19:17 NASB; Jn 19:20 NASB; Jn 20:16 NASB; Acts 21:40 NASB; Acts 22:2 NASB; Acts 26:14 NASB; Php 3:5 NASB; Rev 9:11 NASB; Rev 16:16 NASB; )
The Hebrew language, originated with (Eber = ESL H 5677 עֵבֶר ) the ancestor of Abraham. The Old Testament verifies, that Abraham and the Israelite people spoke Hebrew. Ancient Paleo Hebrew, gradually developed the modern Hebrew square text alphabet, that has been preserved, for thousands of years, by the Jewish people, within the Old Testament Scriptures. So then, the presence of Hebrew words, and their meaning, become culturally significant throughout the New Testament. The Jewish people spoke Hebrew, to maintain their ancestral identity,, preserving history and prophecy. Hebrew is the language, of Yehwah Elohe’s Covenant, with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The word of Yehwah Elohe, proclaimed Hope for the Future, for Israel and all mankind. The Jewish people spoke, )Hebrew = ESL H 5680 עִבְרִי ) the language of Abraham. The 1st Century Jews avoided speaking, (Aramaic = ESL H 762 אֲרָמִי ) the language of Assyria, and the Samaritans.

Discovering the significance of Hebrew, is valuable for understanding, the unity of scriptures, within the old and New Testament.
John 19:19–20 (NASB95) — 19 Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It was written,
(Yeshua = יְשֻׁועַ = is phonetically spelled “Ἰησοῦς” in Greek),
THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS.” 20 Therefore many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Yeshua, was crucified was near the city; and it was written in
“Hebrew = Ἑβραϊστί”,
Latin and in Greek.

there are many more un-identified Hebrew words, that are phonetically spelled with Greek letters. And then translated into English. The Hebrew and Greek alphabet, are closely related, within the historical development, of regional languages. )
Mary Magdalene, honors the resurrected Messiah, by speaking the Hebrew title rabboni.
John 20:16; is preserved mainly in Greek documents. But, Hebrew words are phonetically spelled with Greek letters. So then, important Hebrew words are preserved, even with in Greek translations. The old testament is obviously Hebrew and messiah quoted from the Hebrew Scriptures. The Jewish people also spoke Hebrew, not Aramaic. Because the Jewish people also read the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures. Carefully examining the Greek manuscripts, will reveal the phonetically spelled Hebrew words. In John 20:16; the focus is on two Hebrew words "Ἑβραϊστί· = Hebrew, ραββουνι = rabboni". I do not think that Mary was speaking Greek. So, John's gospel is a narrative story, that is translated into Greek. John's Gospel, retains many other Hebrew words, that are phonetically spelled with Greek letters. The other gospels also follow the same practice, often spelling Hebrew words phonetically with Greek letters. Aramaic language is closely related to Hebrew, and many words are very similar. But, John 20:16; clearly states that Mary spoke Hebrew = Ἑβραϊστί· ραββουνι". There are many Hebrew words throughout the New Testament, along with old Testament quotations "that originate in the Hebrew Scriptures.
