BLOOD of the LAMB

Imagine a heroic knight in shining armor, in mortal combat with a fiery Dragon. This undefeated Ancient Serpent, has imprisoned a maiden within his castle of doom. Day after day the battle raged. The Knight's gleaming sword crashed against the iron scales of the Adversary. The Dragon's fiery breath scorched the shield of the Faithful Knight. His sword parried the iron claws, and valiantly deflected every advance of the demonic host. Till the cloak of dusk hastened, there is wisdom in the shelter of retreat. Evening spells, transformed the Dragon’s vestige into a dark and waxen armored knight, with a face resembling flickering embers. The serpentine knight spoke seductive words of love, as the fearful maiden served his nightly banquet feast. Then woeful shadows escorted the maiden to her tower of despair. Only, to be awakened as ascending fingers of a new day, lightly tapped upon the stains of glass in her window pane.

The pure sunlit knight, mightily advanced toward the Ancient Serpent's stronghold. Sulfur and smoke billowed, as fiery words threatened to devour the Dawn. The fearsome Dragon charged the peacefully approaching Son of Faithfulness. Sword and shield flashed, in the midst of fire and brimstone, of the iron clawed Dragon. Moments of hope seemed to whisper in the breeze, and breach the maiden's towering doubt. The heavens darkened, the earth trembled, and rend open its mouth as to cry. In shocking waves of starry collisions, a reverberating shout, "VICTORY!" As the Dragon's iron claws glanced past the shield, and pierced the heart of the valiant Knight of light. The Dragon looked upon the fallen Knight, stained crimson. And laughed with mocking derision. Boastfully, the Dragon commanded, " Come my Bride, maiden unloved”, “look upon your adversary”! Time seemed to stand still, and the eclipsing sun refused to set. The shining Knight lay silent, as the maiden approached. Her trembling finger touched the pool of blood pouring from the shimmering armor. Concealed teardrops joined the Lifeblood sprinkled upon the shield of Faith. The Dragon knelt over the silent Knight, to sniff for the aroma of death. Swiftly, a glistening sword penetrated between the iron scales, piercing the abyss of the Dragon's heart. In screams of rage and blasts of flames, the Dragon fell back, lifeless upon the battle plane. The maiden's fear turned to joy, as a Peaceful voice said, "I am not dead”. My heart cries, “Victory” in True Love."

The moral of the story is,

"True Love never Dies; it only tests the Heart of Faithfulness!"

The Passover sacrificial Lamb, may appear unrelated to a story, of a knight in shining armor, battling the Dragon. Parables and prophetic visions speak through symbolic terms and create powerful imagery. Stories may motivate emotional involvement that speaks truth to the heart, through the union of spiritual  empathetic harmony. Gleaning fact, from symbolic representations, hidden within metaphors or culturally figurative language requires discerning spiritual truth, from careful examination of Scriptures.
