 this discussion topic will present several valuable principles for testing and proving the accuracy of Biblical translations. Most Bible students have learned to use a concordance that link new Testament quotes to the original old testament scripture.


First principle 

A. The New Testament Scriptures should be in agreement with the old testament!

( 2 Corinthians 5:21; is one example of a questionable Scripture. Did God “make” Messiah “to be sin”?)


1. Use concordance to locate all possible Scriptures that relate to the topic in question.

a. Deuteronomy 24:16; everyone Will die because of their own sin.

b. Ezekiel 18:18; 19; 20; 21; 22; 23; 24; 25; 26; 27; 28; 29; 30; 31; 32; sin can not be transferred from one person to another.

c. Leviticus 16:7; 8; 9; 10; 11; 15; 16; 17; 18; 19; no sin is placed on the Atonement sacrifice.

d. Leviticus 16:20; 21; 22; John 12:31; 32; 16:11; Rev 20:1; 2; 3; guilt for Sin is placed on the Azazel goat, that represents Satan being “cast out”.


2. Consider that the old and new testament have been translated from their original Hebrew or Greek language.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NA27 Int.) — 21 τν μ γνόντα μαρτίαν πρ μν μαρτίαν ποίησεν, να μες γενώμεθα δικαιοσύνη θεο ν ατ.


3. Bible translators may have altered the definition of words, by adding their own theological interpretation to the original Hebrew or Greek, “quotation” that is being examined.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NASB95) — 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.


2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV84) — 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.


2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV 1900) — 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.


4. It becomes necessary to compare the translated sentence by examining the original language within A, “Word by word interlinear”. The inter-linear Bible study examines the original language and presents the corresponding English word definition while maintaining the sentence structure and proper word order. The free online: Blue Letter Bible.org is a valuable tool for Bible research. .

5. Most English Bible translations are restructured to form a “Reverse Interlinear”,” that has altered the original language Word order to change sentence grammar and syntax. The “Reverse Interlinear” English grammar Will link words to a language lexicon that contain word definitions that include translators personal theological interpretation.

6, comparing “interlinear” to the “reverse interlinear” Will add additional insight that is valuable when correcting mistakes within Biblical translations that are questionable. It is important to maintain the sentence grammar and word order within the original language. Also, lexicon Word definitions must Match the intended original language sentence grammar. Avoid lexicon word definitions that add theological interpretations that alter original language expressions through a, “transference meaning”.


2 Corinthians 5:21 (NA27) — 21 τν μ γνόντα μαρτίαν πρ μν μαρτίαν ποίησεν, να μες γενώμεθα δικαιοσύνη θεο ν ατ.


1. τν = His 

2. μ  = not

3. γνόντα  = knowing

4. μαρτίαν  = sin

 5. πρ =  exceeding, over, above, beyond, (theologians add the transference meaning: “on behalf of”)

6. μν  = our (translators alter the personal possessive pronoun “our” end incorrectly use the word “us”)

7. μαρτίαν  = sin (there should be a “,” at the end of the statement “our sin, ”)

8. ποίησεν = performed (translators deliberately lie, when they claim that this single word in Greek may express that, “god made him to be or become sin”. It should be obvious that Messiah did not “perform our sin”. The sentence clearly states that Messiah “performed” a sinless life “exceeding our sin,”)

9. να = so that

10. μες  = we

11. γενώμεθα  = become (this is a compound word that means: by practice or repetition)

12. δικαιοσύνη = righteous

13. θεο = god or Eloheyem

14. ν  = in

15. ατ. = Him or His spirit


Second principal

B. Word definitions:

1. Lexicons Will contain several possible expressions in English, that may closely relate to the original language.

Cor 5:21; Word5. G 5228  πέρ, περεγώ [huper /hoop·er/] prep. A primary preposition;   160 occurrences; AV translates as: 1. “above”, 2. “more than”, 3. “than”, 4. “very chiefest”, 5. “beyond”, 6. “over”, 7. “more”, 8. “exceedingly”, 9. “abundantly”, 10. “very highly”.  11 over, beyond, more than.


2. Lexicons also represent the interpretive viewpoints of translator’s that redefine words to conform closely to their theological interpretation.

2 Cor 5:21; Word5. G 5228  πέρ, περεγώ [huper /hoop·er/] prep. A primary preposition;   160 occurrences; AV Also, mis-translates “uper” as: 

1. “for” ( is an inadequate term that does not truly express “uper”),, 

2. “for one’s sake” (Christian translators deceptively change the definition of the word “uper” to create a false doctrine),

3. “on one’s behalf” (is a misappropriated transference meaning that does not properly express “uper = exceeding or surpassing”), 

4. “in one’s stead” (the Greek word “uper” does not represent the erroneous theological substitution scape goat sacrifice). 

5 in behalf of, for the sake of.


There are four words that have been purposely altered to achieve a false doctrine. 

5. πρ = exceeding (over or beyond). But, translators change the original Greek definition of this word, by creating a deceptive transference meaning that pretends that the Savior became a, “scape goat substitution” that “benefits us” by becoming “our sins” the word “benefit” becomes a deceptive lie that violates the intended purpose of apostle Paul’s understanding of Messiah’s holiness and saving mercy.


6..  μν = our (plurality, personal possessive pronoun). Translators attempt to remove the identity of, who is the subject that possesses sinfulness, by changing the connective phrase “our sins”. Miss using the word “US” is not correct grammar and is intended to change the sentence structure by claiming, that messiah’s sinless life, “benefits us” by becoming sin.


7.  μαρτίαν, = sin or missing the mark (there should be a comma after the statement “our sin”,)  translators attempt to disconnect the personal possessive pronoun “our” from the word “Sin”. It is a violation of biblical law for “our sins” to be transferred to an innocent person.

( Deut 24:16; 2 Ki 14:6; 22 Ch 25:4; Pr 5:23; Jer 31:30; Eze 11:19; 18:18; 26; 31; 33:9-20; 36:26; ) )


8. ποίησεν = performed (represents a completion of Christ’s work of performing a “sinless Life”). Translators deliberately “Lie” by claiming this Greek word can Express the action of “god making” his son “become sin”. The correct use of this Greek word, is only intended to reaffirm that messiah “performed” a sinless Life “exceeding” “our sins”. The obvious miss translation of 2 Corinthians 5:21; is a deliberate lie with the purpose of promoting the idolatrous practice of the “scape goat substitution sacrifice” theology.


 2. The lexicon generally presents the root or lemma of the Hebrew or Greek Word that establishes the basic word definition. But the sentence may contain a compound word or a conjugation of a root, that add more information to the syntax within sentence structure.

8. ποίησεν” = performed, contains the root Word “ποιέω”. Translators deceptively manipulate the root “ποιέω”, by theologically transforming one word into the phrase “god made him to be”. G 4160 ποιέω [poieo /poy·eh·o/] v. Apparently a prolonged form of an obsolete primary; TDNT 6:458; TDNTA 895; GK 4472; 579 occurrences; AV translates as “do” 357 times, “make” 113 times, “bring forth” 14 times, “commit” nine times, “cause” nine times, “work” eight times, “show” five times, “bear” four times, “keep” four times, “fulfil” three times, “deal” twice, “perform” twice, not translated three times, translated miscellaneously 43 times, and “vr do” three times. 1 to make (represents the action performed by the subject within a sentence clause. Translators redefine a word definition by creating interpretive phrases to match their theological doctrines.). 1a with the names of things made, to produce, construct, form, fashion, etc. 1b to be the authors of, the cause. 1c to make ready, to prepare. 1d to produce, bear, shoot forth. 1e to acquire, to provide a thing for one’s self. 1f to make a thing out of something. 1g to (make i.e.) render one anything. 1g1 to (make i.e.) constitute or appoint one anything, to appoint or ordain one that. 1g2 to (make i.e.) declare one anything. 1h to put one forth, to lead him out. 1i to make one do something. 1i1 cause one to. 1j to be the authors of a thing (to cause, bring about). 2 to do. 2a to act rightly, do well. 2a1 to carry out, to execute. 2b to do a thing unto one. 2b1 to do to one. 2c with designation of time: to pass, spend. 2d to celebrate, keep. 2d1 to make ready, and so at the same time to institute, the celebration of the passover. 2e to perform: to a promise.  verb


8. ποίησεν” = performed, is the correct Word definition that properly describes the action of the subject within the sentence clause… Messiah “ποίησεν” = performed, “His not knowing sin exceeding our sin”… 

(“ποίησεν = performed”: represents the action, that the subject, “did, do, or has done”, as a completion of a task or duty

Mt 21:15; 26:13; Lk 1:49; 51; Jn 2:11; 4:54; 6:14; 8:40; 10:41; 11:46; 20:30; Acts 2:22; Heb 7:26; Jn 7:27 NASB; Messiah “performed” a sinless life, when He offered up Himself. )


G 4162  ποίησις [poiesis /poy·ay·sis/] n f. From 4160; TDNT 6:458; TDNTA 895; GK 4474; AV translates as “deed” once. 1 a making. 2 a doing or performing. 2a in his doing i.e. in the obedience he renders to the law.


11. ( γενώμεθα = a compound word constructed by combining ( γίνομαι and εωθα)  = to become by practicing ) 

G 1096 γίνομαι [ginomai /ghin·om·ahee/] v. A prolongation and middle voice form of a primary verb; TDNT 1:681; TDNTA 117; GK 1181; 678 occurrences; AV translates as “be”, “come to pass”, “be made”, “be done”, “come”, “become”, “God forbid”, “arise”, “have”, “be fulfilled”, “be married to”, “be preferred”, and “vr done”. (translators create interpretive forms of this word.) 1 to become, i.e. to come into existence, begin to be, receive being. 2 to become, i.e. to come to pass, happen. 2a of events. 3 to arise, appear in history, come upon the stage. 3a of men appearing in public. 4 to be made, finished. 4a of miracles, to be performed, wrought. 5 to become, be made.


11. ( γενώμεθα ) 

G 1486 θω, εωθα [etho /eth·o/] v. A root word; GK 1622 and 1665; Four occurrences; AV translates as “be wont”, “- as his custom was”, and “as his manner was”. (this word represents a repetitive practice, that may be a “custom” or “manor ofcovenant obedience”.)    


Third principal

C. The original language “interlinear” Bible study format Will maintain the original sentence structure and word order.


( 2 Cor 5:21; His not knowing sin exceeding our sin, performed so that we (become by practicing) righteousenss God = Eloheyem” in Him.)


1.  But, the “reverse interlinear” English translation often rearranges sentence structure and alters the word definition to conform within theological interpretation, so that the original message within the sentence has been changed. 


(clarifying the proper grammar and sentence structure will prove the accuracy of the translation being examined.)

2 Corinthians 5:21; the first Greek word, “τν” is an article in the accusitive case that denotes the personal possessive pronoun, “his” the accusitive possessive pronoun, “his” is required to complete the primary independent clause, “not knowing sin”. “His not knowing sin” is the primary independent clause, because it is capable of completing the sentence without the inclusion of the subordinate clause, “our sin”. The Greek word: “πρ” is a preposition that establishes the positional relationship between the primary independent clause and the subordinate clause. The Greek word: “πρ” is a preposition, defined as a position, “over, beyond, and exceeding” the subordinate clause ,” our sin”. When the preposition “πρ = exceeding” and the subordinate clause “our sin” is removed, then the primary independent clause is revealed as a complete sentence. The primary independent clause: “His not knowing sin, ( ποίησεν = performed) so that we (become -practicing) righteousness, God in (Him = auto)”. The primary independent clause is placed in a prepositional position, “over, beyond, and exceeding” the subordinate clause.

2 Corinthians 5:21; has been mistranslated, by altering the original sentence word order and deceptively changing the definition  of two important terms. The preposition “πρ = exceeding” has been changed into the phrase “on our behalf”. The English word, “on” becomes the positional preposition in relationship to the personal possessive pronoun, “our”. The additional noun, “behalf” does not represent the original positional preposition, “πρ = exceeding”. The translators erroneously split the original subordinate clause, “our sin” in the attempt to create a new primary independent clause. The word, “sin” has been placed after the Greek word, “ποίησεν = performed”. The word, “ποίησεν” is deceptively changed into the phrase, “God made Him to be” sin. Translators adulterate the original Greek sentence in order to promote their false theological belief in a, “scape goat substitution sacrifice.”. The subordinate clause, “our sin” has been transformed into the primary independent clause, “God made Him to be sin, who knew no sin, on our behalf, so that we become the righteousness of God in him. The redefined subordinate clause, “who knew no sin” may now be removed to allow the primary independent clause to complete the sentence. God made him to be sin, on our behalf so that we become the righteousness of God in him.

I hope this Study of Greek grammar will clearly demonstrate how translators deliberately corrupt the original language, so that they may promote the false doctrine of a, “scape goat substitution savior”.

5120ὁ [tou /too/] article. Properly, the genitive case of 3588;translates as “his”. 1 his.


3778οὗτος [houtos, houtoi, haute, hautai /hoo·tos/] pron. From the article 3588; translates as “this”, “these”, “he”, “the same”, “this man”, “she”, “they”,

 

5129οὗτος [touto /too·to/] pron. Dative case singular masculine or neuter of 3778; translates as “this”, “him”, this one.


5228 ὑπέρ, ὑπερεγώ [huper /hoop·er/] prep. A primary preposition;translates as “over”, “above”, “more than”, “beyond”, “more”, “exceedingly abundantly”, “exceedingly”, “very highly”,

1 Peter 2:20–23 (NASB95) — 20 For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God. 21 For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, 22 who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; 23 and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

( 1 Peter 2:24 begins, by referring back to verse 23, “That this sin from us”. The people sinfully reviled and hated Messiah and unjustly crucified the innocent Savior. Messiah was bearing up under unjust suffering, by “himself bearing in the body, himself on the tree”. 

Romans 8:3; 4; reveals that Messiah’s sinless life, would condemn sin in the flesh. “So that this sin becomes dead, until righteousness becomes alive”. Messiah’s disciplined obedience perfected peace and faithfulness. 

Romans 2:7; 13; 6:1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6; 7; 8; 9; 10; 11; 12; 13; 14; 15; 16; 17; 18; This discipline, is required when disciples suffer for living in righteousness by obeying the Covenant Commandments. 

Romans 8:3; 4; 5; 6; 7; 8; 9; 10; 11; 12; 13; 14; 15; 16; 17; Disciples that share in Messiah’s suffering will also share in His glory. 

Hebrews 2:17; 18; 5:7; 8; 9; 10; 7:26; 12:1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6; 7; 8; 9; 10; 11; 12; 13; 14; Through discipline, holiness is perfected, and produces the peaceful fruit of righteousness. 

1 Peter 4:1; Everyone that has suffered in the flesh, has ceased from sin. 

1 Peter 2:24; ends by summarizing, that the obedient disciples will suffer wounds that will be healed. “that which this wounds, heels!”)

Fourth principal

D. Most New Testament authors were Jewish and they communicated from within the old testament Hebrew culture and language. Even though the new testament documentation is written in Greek, there exist Hebrew words that are phonetically spelled by using the Greek alphabet. Lexicons often reveal that a Greek word Will originate within the Hebrew language or culture. So then, Word definitions in English should also consider the importance of maintaining agreement within the Old Testament Hebrew culture and language.

My God or Elohe?


John 19:19–20 (NASB95) — 19 Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It was written, “JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS.” 20 Therefore many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in “Hebrew = βραϊστί”, Latin and in Greek.

(the new testament references the “Hebrew = βραϊστί” language and identifies specific words of Hebrew origin that are recorded phonetically with the Greek alphabet. In the (NASB) John 1:9; 5:2; 19:13; 17; 20; 20:16; Acts 21:40; 22:2; 26:14; Php 3:5; Rev 9:11; 16:16; … there are many more un-identified Hebrew words that are phonetically spelled with Greek letters and then translated into English. The Hebrew and Greek alphabet are closely related within the historical development of regional languages. )

1.  Jewish scribes began adding accent Marks “depicting vowel sounds to the Hebrew consonants. The vocalization marks improved pronunciation for the Hebrew speaking people, after returning from Babylonian captivity approximately 520 B.C… Historians record that the Greek alphabet originally utilized the same paleo Hebrew letters, Word structure, and culturally shared vocalization. Improvements in language, simultaneously occurred between 500-450 B.C… As the Greek alphabet also created “Vowel” sounds from the Hebrew pronunciation of 5 letters:

 (אֱ -Ea)

Became the Greek letter “A = alpha”

 (חַ -Ha)

Produced a sound similar to “a or e” in theGreek letter Heta.

(וְ -Wu) 

Produce  the “U” sound and became the Greek letter Upsilon

(יֶ -Ye) 

 the Hebrew “Ye” is an equivalent “ee” sound produced by the Greek letter iota; that later became vocalized as “i” in a modern English alphabet.

(עֲ -Oaayin

The Greeks adopted the “Oa” sound to produce the letter Omicron.


History preserves examples of gradual changes within vocalization and pronunciation of words. The addition of a “J” and “V” sound appeared, over 1000 years later,. By the 15th century, Old English blended with theNordic   and developing Germanic language. Vocalization of the“J” altered the pronunciation of names, such as “Yon = YeWuHNN =  יׄוחָנָן ” and transitioned to “John” from the Greek “Eein or Ion = ωάννης, ωνάθας ”.  The Hebrew name “Yehwah =  ” is mistakenly translated Jehovah”; ElYeh-Wu” becomes “elijah”, and “Yeshua” becomes “jesus”. The “W” in “Yehwah” also, encounters linguistic distortion by the adoption of the “V” sound. The “J” and “V” vocalize letters do not exist in original Hebrew or Greek.


The New Testament contains examples of Greek phonetic spelling of Hebrew words. The Greek vocalization of their alphabet letters produce an equivalent sound of the Hebrew consonants. Messiah’s Hebrew name “יְ שֻׁועַ” is phonetically spelled  “ησος ” with the Greek letter “I = Ye” “s = sh” “U = Wu” and pronounced in modern English “Yeshua”.

In Luke 1:17; John the Baptist was filled with the spirit that was within the prophet “El-YeH-Wu = , אֵלִיָּהוּ  = λίου” this is only a reference to the old testament prophet, that declared “El-Yeh-exists”. The Greek title: “λίου” has a “U” ending that copies the Hebrew pronunciation of the “Wu” ending of “El-Yeh-Wu”.

Luke 1:17 (NA27 Int.) — 17 κα ατς προελεύσεται νώπιον ατο ν πνεύματι κα δυνάμει “λίου,”;

2. Translators may choose English words that do not Express the intended meaning within the original language. When examining original language word definitions, It is important to compare the Greek and Hebrew expressions and consider similarities. The New Testament Greek should maintain the same Hebrew culture and language characteristics of the old testament.

Ελωι is the Greek phonetic equivalent of the Hebrew title of Messiah who is Yehwah “Elohe = אֱלֹהַי  ”

λεμα is the phonetic spelling of “L—MH = ל -מֶה = towards what?”.

Biblical Scriptures testify that the people of Israel were forsaking and abandoning Yehwah Elohe the prophetic Savior. Also Messiah Yeshua ,  words establish that the Heavenly Father did Not abandon or depart from His Holy and Righteous Son. Obviously King David did not fulfill the prophetic requirements for the Psalms 22 and Isaiah 53 “suffering Messiah.”


Therefore, it is necessary to correct translation errors that assume that David is crying out, “my God, my God” in the beginning of psalms 22. Proper examination of the Hebrew language and sentence structure requires that the “speaker” that is represented by the Hebrew suffix “N-Ye = from the root word  אָנׄי    or  אָנׄכִי  = i  or i am” must be the person that is abandoned.

 Psalm 22:1; begins by repeating “EL-Ye = אֱלֹי  ” that must represent the person who is the “Hand” of “EL” and at the same time identifying Himself as “EL-I AM”. 

The Gospel of Mark quotes Messiah’s immortal words from the cross, “EL-oH-Ye = אֱלֹהַי  ” that is his memorial name forever. Careful reading of Psalm 22 will verify the identity of the speaker, “Messiah Yeshua  Yehwah Elohe” the suffering Savior, Who is, “EL-Ye =  אֵלִי   “.


3. Hebrew and Greek languages did not contain “,” or other punctuation marks. The addition of a misplaced “,” Will alter the Communication that was intended within the original sentence.

Luke 23:42–43 (NASB95) — 42 And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!” 43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”


(moving the “,” after the word “today,” Will correct this miss translation. Christian theologians promote the belief that the repentant criminal would ascend to heaven, “today” immediately after his death. Both Messiah and the criminal died that day and were buried. But only Messiah arose to life after three days and three nights in the tomb, and then ascended into heaven. Messiah promised the criminal that he would see Him in paradise after He establishes the Kingdom on earth. After 1000 years of the Kingdom, the earth will become like the garden of Eden. The criminal Will arise from the grave, and come to life again during the second resurrection. )

[Isa 53:1-2; Who has understood the strength of Yehwah's Seed. The Messiah is the planting of Yehawah’s Spiritual Life in the dry ground of human hearts. Yeshua was not attractive or popular and did not seek to please the socially accepted idols of his time. 

Isa 53:3; 4; Mt 8:16; 17; Messiah Yeshua was despised and rejected by the people that claim to know Yehwah, but did not know Him. Messiah Yeshua, mercifully reached out to heal the spiritual sickness of Israel and suffered sorrows because of there unrepentant sinfulness.
