Duplicate Copy or Double Negative

 The birthright blessing to a firstborn son did not represent a, “double portion” of an inheritance. The Hebrew word “sh-N-Ye-M = שְׁנַיִם = double or duplicate”. May represent the number 2 or the second position within a series, that is intended to join subjects together within a single group. Two people may be united by one spiritual bond, that produces a shared moral character. The Messiah is the first born Son, that receives the blessing of being, Spiritually one with the Father. Like Father, like Son. Messiah is the promised seed of Abraham that will bless all nations and people by turning each person away from sinfulness. The “firstborn blessing” is a position that requires spiritually mature leadership, by emulating the Father’s love and authority, that  sustains family unity.. Messiah taught his disciples to follow his example, so that they may be one in spiritual unity. Just as Messiah and the Father are One. Messiah also stated, no one is greater than their teacher, but each person may become like their teacher.

Messiah Yeshua is the perfect example representing the, “firstborn blessing” that portrays duality and duplication that is intended to share the inheritance among all family members. The mistaken perception of a double portion may inspire a distorted view of inheritance, that is derived from a carnal human nature that produces jealousy, greed and selfishness. Also, it is important to remember several basic principles for Bible study. Most Bible translations represent the interpretive viewpoint of Hebrew or Greek scholars, that may contain distortions or mistakes. A mistranslated word or phrase will alter the intended purpose of a communication. Both, Hebrew and Greek word definitions may vary according to their proper application within a sentence context. So then, any questionable word or phrase must be proven to be compatible with the corresponding purpose within the communication. The following lexicon definitions and Bible verses will represent examples of testing and proving the Hebrew word, “sh-N-Ye-M = שְׁנַיִם = double or duplicate?”

In paleo Hebrew, each letter symbolically portrays an expression by joining letters together to form a word picture.

1. sh = שְׁ = “together” portrayed by two front teeth working “together”

2. N = נַ = “seed, son, heir” portrays a seed growing, a son in a family, heir or inheritance that are often used as symbolic terms for Messiah

3. Ye = יִ = “hand, work, worship" portrays the identifying traits of a, “Single person” within the Hebrew letter “Ye” that represents the personal pronoun “I am”

4. M = ם =“water, blood” portrays a representation of shared existence within the “sea of humanity” or “flesh and blood”. The Hebrew letter “M” is often added to a word as a prefix or suffix. The “M-prefix” may point to the source of an interaction = “from” or “M-suffix” identify the formation of a group = “they or them”. The “M” suffix is often interpreted as establishing plurality, as portrayed in the Hebrew title “Eloheyem = E-L-Ha-Ye…M”.


The Hebrew letters in the word “sh-N-Ye…M = שְׁנַיִם = together-Son-working… in them”. The Hebrew root word may be assembled with several alternative prefix or suffix letters that add additional information. The root Hebrew term is portrayed within the letters “sh-N = שְׁנַ = together-son or inheritance”. The addition of the letter “Ye = יִ = work or worship” is performed by a single person that is receiving an “inheritance” by joining “together” with the source of blessing. The additional suffix letter “M” may represent additional members that are joined “together” in the “inheritance”. Both, Eliyeh and Elisha were joined “together” in the “work of worship” that duplicates or copies the “Son, to become co-heirs of the inheritance”.

(the mantle of Eliyeh was transferred to Elisha as a sign of the continuation of the prophetic ministry. Even the other prophets recognized that the same spirit that was in Eliyeh was upon Elisha. So then, the words of Elisha would come to pass as an exact “copy or duplicate” of father Eliyeh’s words. Elisha never became twice as great as father Eliyeh!)

Deuteronomy 21:16–17 (NASB95) — 16 then it shall be in the day he wills what he has to his sons, he cannot make the son of the loved the firstborn before the son of the unloved, who is the firstborn. 17 “But he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the unloved, by giving him a (פִּי־שְׁנַיִם  = my mouth duplicate) of all that he has, for he is the beginning of his strength; to him belongs the right of the firstborn.

(after the father dies, then the first born son would receive the mantle of Authority over the family. But if the first born son was unworthy then he could be replaced by a worthy son. Just as, Jacob received the blessing instead of Esau. And Ruben, Simeon and Levi did not receive the first born blessing that Jacob passed on to Judah. Also, Jacob blessed the younger brother Ephraim before the older brother Manasseh, the sons of Joseph. The first born blessing that was given to Judah, signified the family line that led up to the seed of Abraham who is the Messiah. The first born birthright inheritance,. refers to the legal requirement that the land inheritance of Israelite families, must be divided equally. The position of first born son, at the head of a family, requires discipline, moral maturity, and justice with equity. So that, the first born son must carry out the will of the father and divide the property equally among the other sons. The Hebrew phrase, “פִּי־שְׁנַיִם  = my mouth duplicates” is an exact representation of Messiah’s words that perfectly copy His Father’s instructions. The words Messiah speaks are not  His alone,, but come from the Father who sent Him)

Luke 12:13–15 (NASB95) — 13 Someone in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the family inheritance with me.” 14 But He said to him, “Man, who appointed Me a judge or arbitrator over you?” 15 Then He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.”

(Messiah refused to interfere between two brothers that disagreed about a family inheritance. The first born son is in the position of deciding when to distribute a portion of the family property to each worthy sibling. So the younger brother disagreed with the lawful authority of his older brother. The story of the prodigal son also demonstrates the consequences of distributing inheritance to an immature son. But the final conclusion, demonstrates that the older brother was trustworthy, disciplined, and honored by the father that designated all his remaining property to the eldest son. The prodigal son story does not contain any statement that designate that a, “double portion” was received by the first born son. According to land inheritance rules there would remain a Jubilee year, when the land inheritance promise to the younger son might be returned to him or his future children. So then, the eldest son was responsible to manage his father’s property and all possessions until the Jubilee year of release. The younger brother may choose to work as a servant to his older brother after his father dies. But, if the older brother died without children, then the younger brother may inherit the remaining property. The land inheritance was intended to remain within a family as a possession for multiple generations to inherit.)

Deuteronomy 21:18-21; establishes a judgment against a rebellious son, that would cause the loss of the firstborn birthright.)

Deuteronomy 21:18–23 (NASB95) — 18 “If any man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father or his mother, and when they chastise him, he will not even listen to them, 19 then his father and mother shall seize him, and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gateway of his hometown. 20 “They shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey us, he is a glutton and a drunkard.’ 21 “Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death; so you shall remove the evil from your midst, and all Israel will hear of it and fear. 22 “If a man has committed a sin worthy of death and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree, 23 his corpse shall not hang all night on the tree, but you shall surely bury him on the same day (for he who is hanged is accursed of God), so that you do not defile your land which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance.


(Deuteronomy 21:16; 17; begins describing a firstborn son that was hated by his brothers. But the law requires that the firstborn birthright belongs to the Father’s first Son, if He is proven worthy.

Duplicate Inheritance

Isaiah 61:7–8 (NASB95) — 7 Instead of your shame you will have a (מִשְׁנֶה = together inherit = a copy or a duplicate share, that does not mean “double” and the word “portion” is not contained in this Hebrew Word “מִשְׁנֶה”), And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their (portion =חֵלֶק = cH-L-Q = division or equal part). (Job 42:10; Yehwah promises to restore Job 1:1-2; and repeated the original blessing that produced abundant possessions. Yehwah restored all to Job gradually, as portrayed in the Hebrew phrase:  (לְאִיּוֹב לְמִשְׁנֶה׃ = towards Job… towards duplicating). Job’s life was extended many years. And over time, Yehwah’s blessing, restored an equal number of 10 children and all the abundant livestock. Obviously, livestock continue to breed, so the blessing continued to be duplicated.)
