Who was Jobe? And what is Job’s relationship to Abraham. How does Job’s suffering and restoration, compared to Abraham’s Covenant Blessing and Hope of the Resurrection.
The following Bible study presents the available scriptural evidence concerning Job’s identity and his place in the Biblical timeline.
Job 1:1 (NASB95) — 1 There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job; and that man was blameless, upright, fearing (God = Yehwah Eloheyem) and turning away from evil.
Job lived in the land of, “UZ = עוּץ” that is located between Egypt and Gaza, South of Palestine. The prophet Jeremiah confirms the location of, “UZ” that is generally the same region as, “Goshen”. Also Jacob’s family moved to the territory of Egypt in the location called, “Goshen = גֹּשֶׁן ” during the time of Joseph.
(Genesis 45:9-10; 46:28-29; 34; 47:1; 4; 6; 27; )
The Hebrew word “UZ = עוּץ” means to take advice or receive counsel. The paleo Hebrew symbols may also represent a person that is captured or ensnared by the scrutiny of criticism through the eyes of observers. “UZ” may be a metaphor portraying Job’s unjust trial. Job was being persecuted by satan and judged by misguided accusers.
( Job 4:12-19; 32:2; 33:7; Psa 55:3; )
Judges of UZ
Jeremiah 25:19–20 (NASB95) — 19 Pharaoh king of Egypt, his servants, his princes and all his people; 20 and all the foreign people, all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the land of the Philistines (even Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron and the remnant of Ashdod);

Patient Endurance and Salvation
Abraham, Job, and Daniel, who lived most of their lives surrounded by pagan cultural influences, encountered the earliest form of idolatry. Originating in the region of Ur of Chaldea, founded by Nimrod. The Babylonian mystery religion promoted the belief in the immortal soul’s, transcendent existence in the realm of the dead. Satan, cunningly deceiving the world with the same lie that misled Eve, “you will surely not die,” employed false religious leaders to promise hopeful assurance of their mystical knowledge, guiding their followers towards the afterlife.
However, only Yehwah Elohe and EL elyon the Father, are truthful, revealing the future hope of resurrection from death. Despite Yehwah’s promises of a son, descendants, or land inheritance with blessings, the emptiness of death could not overcome the sorrows of temporary human existence. This desire for the all-surpassing knowledge that leads to eternal life emerged from the spiritual union within Eloheyem, the creator. The true promise of the “Seed” of Abraham unveiled the “way, truth, and life” that leads to “Oneness” with the Most High Heavenly Father. Through spiritual intervention, Yehwah gradually revealed the knowledge of Messiah, the Savior, to His chosen servants, Abraham, Job, David, and Daniel. These servants experienced prophetic visions that motivated thoughtful contemplation, driven by a desire to understand the future hope that stirred within their hearts and minds. Painful trials could never distract their devotion to Yehwah as they eagerly anticipated the unspeakable joy that awaited them. Every individual yearning to know the Eternal Yehwah must come to terms with their own mortality and “reason” to sustain the hope of the future resurrection from death. They eagerly anticipate renewed life that enters into immortality. Faith is more than just hearing and believing. Faithfulness yields a Life that walks in Covenant Obedience, embodying spiritual Oneness within the Eloheyem family. Abraham, Job, and Daniel possessed the vision of Eternal Life. The spiritual Union within Eloheyem inspired Abraham to perceive the Bond of trusting love within Isaac, foreshadowing the faithfulness of Messiah who achieved the resurrection to Life. Salvation is not unconditional!

Revelation 20:4–6 (NASB95) — 4 Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of (Jesus = Yeshua) and because of the (word of God = Logos Yehwah Elohe), and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with (Christ = Messiah Yeshua) for a thousand years. 5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed.
