LAW within LAW

 The phrase “Dead to the Law” is used twice in the New Testament. Careful examination of the Greek text will help correct errors within translations. The intended meaning of words will be defined by the original language within sentence structure and related context. Doctrinal statements must be constructed from a coherent review of related scriptures that unite the Old and New Testament. 
Matthew 5:17; 18; 19; 20; Acts 2:32-33; 34-35; 36-37; 38; 21:20;; 21; 22-23; 24; 
Acts 22:1-2 NASB; Acts 22:3; 24:14; 15-16; 5:29-30; 31-32;  
Heb 2:1-2; 3-4; Both Messiah Yeshua and the apostle Paul taught from the unchanging word of Yehwah within the law and prophets. Logic also dictates that the Covenant Law of Yehwah does not die. 

Law of Life or Death?

Romans 7:4; Therefore, the Greek word " τ  = in the or this “ establishes the judgment that a person’s sinful nature must be “put to death” according to the requirements “within the law”.

) — 4 Therefore, my brethren, you also were made (to?) die (to? or in) the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

Romans 7:4; (corrected text) 4. Accordingly, my brothers, you also died. (This law, by) the body the Messiah. Into this, you become different, out of this death, awakened. So that, the godly bearing fruit.


Romans 7:4; Word 16. (γενέσθαι) is a variation of the word ( γενώμεθα = a compound word constructed by combining ( γίνομαι and εωθα) = to become by practicing ) 

ESL G 1096 γίνομαι [ginomai /ghin·om·ahee/] v. A prolongation and middle voice form of a primary verb; TDNT 1:681; TDNTA 117; GK 1181; 678 occurrences; AV translates as “be”, “come to pass”, “be made”, “be done”, “come”, “become”, “God forbid”, “arise”, “have”, “be fulfilled”, “be married to”, “be preferred”, and “vr done”. (translators create interpretive forms of this word.) 1 to become, i.e. to come into existence, begin to be, receive being. 2 to become, i.e. to come to pass, happen. 2a of events. 3 to arise, appear in history, come upon the stage. 3a of men appearing in public. 4 to be made, finished. 4a of miracles, to be performed, wrought. 5 to become, be made.


11. ( γενώμεθα ) 

ESL G 1486 θω, εωθα [etho /eth·o/] v. A root word; GK 1622 and 1665; Four occurrences; AV translates as “be wont”, “- as his custom was”, and “as his manner was”. (this word represents a repetitive practice, that may be a “custom” or “manor ofcovenant obedience”.)    


Romans 7:4; Word 7. 15. 19. 25. (τ) is a simpler form of the word 10. 12. (το) that has many possible expressions with in Greek lexicons. These words are often left untranslated or interpreted according to a theological preference.

ESL G 3588 [ho, he /ho/] article. In all their inflections, the definite article; GK 3836; 543 occurrences; AV translates as “which” 413 times, “who” 79 times, “the things” 11 times, “the son” eight times, and translated miscellaneously 32 times. 1 this, that, these, etc. Additional Information: Only significant renderings other than “the” counted.


ESL G 5120 [tou /too/] article. Properly, the genitive case of 3588;translates as “his”. 1 his.


ESL G 3778οτος [houtos, houtoi, haute, hautai /hoo·tos/] pron. From the article 3588; translates as “this”, “these”, “he”, “the same”, “this man”, “she”, “they”,

(ESLG 3779 οτος [houtos, houtoi, haute, hautai /hoo·tos/] translated as: so, thus, even so, likewise, after this manner)

  

ESL G 5129οτος [touto /too·to/] pron. Dative case singular masculine or neuter of 3778; translates as “this”, “him”, here by, here in, this one.


 

Died to Law or Law Establishing Law?

(Romans 3:31NASB; Ro 12:1-2; )


Galatians 2:19; Paul is using a Hebraic concept that comes from his understanding of the "Law within Law" that requires sacrificial obedience and faithfulness, by following Messiah Yeshua’s example.

Death of Faithfulness?

Mark 7:6; 7-8; Ro 1:1-3; 4-5; 2:11-12; 
Ro 2:13 NASB; Ro 2:15; 16; Translators attempt to establish a misperception through a philosophical interpretation. 
2 Thes 2:3; 4; 7; 8; 9; 10-11; 12; The delusion of a person" being"Dead to the law" is a psychological self deception that pretends that there is no governing authority or law that judges their behavior.


Establishing Law by Obedient Faithfulness


Galatians 2:16 (corrected text) — 16 nevertheless knowing no man justified by (works-Law = animal sacrifices and circumcision), in contrast perhaps, by believing (Messiah Yeshua  = Christ Jesus), even we have believed (Messiah Yeshua = Christ Jesus), so that (righteous orjustified) by believing (Messiah = Christ) and not by (works-Law = animal sacrifices and circumcision); since by (works-Law) no flesh justified.


Galatians 2:16 (NA27 Int.) — 16 εδότες [δ] τι ο δικαιοται νθρωπος ξ ργων νόμου ἐὰν μ δι πίστεως ησο Χριστο, κα μες ες Χριστν ησον πιστεύσαμεν, να δικαιωθμεν κ πίστεως Χριστο κα οκ ξ ργων νόμου, τι ξ ργων νόμου ο δικαιωθήσεται πσα σάρξ.

Law Establishing Law - Condemns Sin in the Flesh

Galatians 2:17–19 (NASB95) — 17 “But if, while seeking to be justified in Christ, we ourselves have also been found sinners, is Christ then a minister of sin? May it never be! 

18 “For if I rebuild what I have once destroyed, I prove myself to be a transgressor. 

19 “I, therefore by “Law establishing law” died = (Ro 6:1-2; 3-4; baptism is participation in Christ’s crucifixion, because the law requires the death of each person’s sinful human nature), so that godliness lives.

[The phrase “law establishing law” is a Hebrew idiom that portrays Leviticus 16:7-8; 9-10; 11-12; 13-14; 15-16; 17-18; 19; requiring participation of worshipers in the Atonement sacrifice.. When, the acceptable Atonement Lamb is sacrificed, then it’s blood is sprinkled on the altar for cleansing and purging of sinfulness. But, within “law establishing law”, Leviticus 16:29-30; 31-32; 33-34; sacrificial law, requires that worshipers participate in the Atonement offering by a sacrifice of self denial through fasting. The Atonement fasting of self denial portrays the required death of each person’s sinful human nature.]

Dead to the Law?

Galatians 2:19–20 (NASB95) — 19 “For through the Law I died (to? or in) the Law”, so that I might live to God. 20 “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Law within Law!

[Galatians 2:19-20; 19; “γ γρ δι “νόμου νόμ “ The original Greek text could read: ”I therefore, through law within law {πέθανον = died}, Yahweh living Christ crucified with.”” Paul stated earlier that the priestly mediation of symbolic sacrificial"Works of the Law" did not produce justification or removed sin.

Hebrew conjunction, " to Join"

[The Hebrew letter “ וּ, = W ” produces a “U = υ” sound.”WU” ending is a connective adverb that is used to unite one object or thought together with another. 
In Galatians 2:19; Paul is using a Hebrew idiom by saying, “νόμο{υ} νόμ “ , ” Law {WU-within or establishing} law”.]

Die to the Law?

Put to Death in the Law!

[Romans 7:4; the translation could read: so then my brothers, you were “put to death in the law” through the body of Christ, in order to join, you to another by being raised from the dead to bear fruit to Yehawah.
Ro 7:4; The statement: "died to the law" does not exist in this sentence.
Romans 7:5; 6; 7; 8; 8:3;; 4; 5; 6-8; 9; 10; 11; 12-13; 14; 1 Jn 1:8; 9; 10; Paul explains in Romans, the sinful human nature refuses to obey Yehwah's righteous laws. The sinful nature must be put to death so that, a Truly repentant person may begin a renewed Life of obedience by receiving Messiah Yeshua's Spirit of Holiness.
Romans 6:1-2; 3; 4; 5; 6-7; Rev 20:4; 5; 6; Faithfulness and Obedience to Yehwah's Commandments lead to Holiness. Disciples that overcome sin have hope of being worthy to participate in the future resurrection from the dead. When the last Trumpet sounds, Yeshua will establish the Kingdom of Yehwah on earth at His return. The joyous Festival of Trumpets is followed by Atonement and then Tabernacles.

The acceptable Atonement Sacrificial Lamb 

Leviticus 16:8; Jn 1:29-30; 31-32; 33; The casting of lots on the day of Atonement reveals. That only the Heavenly Father is capable of identifying the acceptable sacrificial Lamb of Yehwah.
Matthew 24:4-5; Mk 13:6; Lk 21:8; Messiah Yeshua stated that there would be many false Christs that proclaim a deceptive salvation. Yeshua represents a perfect sinless sacrifice. He became an example for His disciples to follow. As obedient children to Yehwah the Father.

Sacrificial Law within Law

Matthew 10:38-39;; 40; Lk 9:20-21; 22-23; 24-25; 26; Ro 6:3-4; 12:1; 2; Every disciple of Messiah Yeshua, must take up their own cross and crucify their sinful nature. When a person puts to death their old life of sin, then symbolically they are looking forward to their future resurrection from the dead. That is why, disciples are baptized into Messiah’s death. Then they receive the Spirit of Holiness to begin renewing their mind to a life of faithful obedience to Yehwah's Covenant Law. The cleansing by the Word of Yehwah, Is True Salvation through a Spiritual union of Atonement that leads to Holiness and eternal life.. 
1 Peter 1:4-5; 6-7; The Law within Law is a participation in the Atoning sacrifice through Faithful Obedience. Spiritual discipline produces Righteousness and Peace that is the union of True Love within Yehwah the Father and Messiah Yeshua.
